Blogging, day 1... So I've decided that I no longer want to live the life I live. I have way too much useless possessions and all I ever do is fuss about a house I hate. So were going to start a life change!

To start let me say we are in the very beginning stages of turning our 800 square foot house into two separate units. We haven't started the process yet, and our first step is a town planning board meeting on April 21st to discuss the process. I don't mind telling you I'm a little nervous. We're hoping to do 98% of the work ourselves, but with all the rules and regulations now, you basically have to hire a professional at 60.00 an hour to change a light bulb!

But for now I will just have to wait and keep you posted after our planning board meeting on that part of my new life project.

What I can start sharing with you now is this: I came across a youtube video on a couple converting into a micro-home. She had said that she took the "100 item challenge" so of course curiosity sparked and I had to do some research. Come to find out this guy named Dave Bruno started a blog (sadly he no longer posts) and he also wrote a book about going down to only 100 hundred things. So it got me thinking... could I go down to 100 things? Of course you need to mold this concept to you personally. When I say 100 things, that's my own personal stuff. It does not include the house items, or my husbands or daughters. Even still, that's going to be hard, but if this time next year I will be living in a 400 square foot home, I better start going through my stuff now!

So today's project...the bathroom. You must be thinking...okay not much stuff in there, but your wrong... stay tuned...
